India is likely to have 242K Millionaires By 2017



Total number of millionaires in India is likely to touch 242,000 by 2017.
                                 In the next five years India is quite likely to experience a substantial jump in the total number of millionaires. The total tally of people, who will join the millionaire club in the country, is expected to touch 242K i.e. 242,000 by the year of 2017 only.

                                 According to a latest report, which has been conducted by a Credit Suisse Research Institute’s Global Wealth Report, the total number of millionaires in the country is likely to swell to 242,000 by 2017. In 2012 the total number of millionaires in India stands at 158,000. So by 2017 India is likely to record an increase growth of 53% in this very matter, which is quite surprising, as India is considered to be a third world country.

Assembly Speaker of Punjab Dr. Atwal received Asian Guild Award


Dr. Charanjit Singh Atwal has received Asian Guild’s ‘Special International Award’ for his contribution to primary education in his state.
                               Dr. Charanjit Singh Atwal, who is the honorable speaker of Punjab Legislative Assembly, has received Asian Guild’s ‘Special International Award’. Dr. Charanjit is one of the pioneers of primary education in India, and the award has been presented to him for his contribution to primary education in his state.

                            The Chairman of Asian Guild Lord Tarsem King gave away the award to Atwal. Atwal was the former Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha. The award ceremony was held at the House of Lords, and it was named as Asian Guild Annual Awards Dinner 2012.

India Post issued two Stamps to Mark 20 Years of Diplomatic Relations between India and Israel



India Post issued a set of two stamps to mark the domestic relationships between India and Israel, which has been on for twenty years now.
                               India’s parent post body, the India Post issued a set of two stamps to mark the domestic relationships between India and Israel, which has been on for twenty years now. The domestic relations between Israel and India were established in the year of 1992, and till now it is going strong. Both the issued stamps are of Rs 5 denomination each.
                                                       
                                It is a good way to mark a historic occasion by felicitating the event itself. So India Post has done a good job in deed. The parent postal body issued the two stamps on the festival of light Deepavali and Hanukkah on 5th November, 2012. From 1992 the relationships between India and Israel has developed quite a lot for sure. These twenty years has seen much mutual cooperation between the said two countries, which has been proved as beneficiary for both the countries.

630 Million People in India will be covered by Health Insurance by 2015



Around 630 million people of India will be covered by Health Insurance by 2015 according to a report of the World Bank.                                 Around 630 million people in India or one may say the 50% of the total population by 2015, will be covered by the various Health Insurance packages for sure. It is very much likely to cross that land mark in coming 3 years or so. This has been stated in a latest report of the World Bank itself.

                              World Bank conducted a study on Government-Sponsored Health Insurance Schemes (GSHIS) few days back. The study stated that the health financing schemes of the new generation can surely help India’s progress towards the all important universal health coverage. As a good result of that more than 630 million people or 50% of the India’s population are likely to be covered by health insurance by the year of 2015 only.

Union Cabinet sanctioned Rs 4,038 Crore plan to tackle Japanese Encephalitis


The Union Cabinet of India sanctioned a mega plan proposal of Rs 4,038 Crore for a comprehensive strategy, which is multi pronged too. Cabinet approved the plan to prevent and take full control of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES).
                    The Union Cabinet of India sanctioned a mega plan proposal of Rs 4,038 Crore for a comprehensive strategy, which is multi-pronged too. Cabinet approved the plan to prevent and take full control of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES).

                 The said proposal came from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, as the Ministry was keen to implement the necessary activities, which had been recommended by the Group of Ministers (GoM). The aim of the proposal is to not only prevent but also take full control of the rising Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES). As the proposal now has been approved by the Union Cabinet, now very soon it will be implemented in 60 districts on priority basis for a steady period of 5 years from 2012-13 to 2016-17. This proposal will be implemented by the Ministers of different department like Health & Family Welfare, drinking Water & Sanitation, Social Justice & Empowerment, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and last but not the least Child Development.

6,000 Model Schools to be set up at Block Level in Rural Areas



Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the project of setting up 6000 model schools at Block Level in Rural Areas.
                                        
                                        Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has understood the need of basic education in the rural areas. As a result of that it has given its nod of approval for setting up of 6,000 model schools at block level as benchmark of excellence in rural areas across the country. The main motto of this project is to provide quality education in the rural areas of the country. The total amount, which has been allocated for this mega project, is Rs 1080 crore, and it is for the year 2012-13 only.
