India Signed a MoU with UK to boost Urban Development



                                          
                     India recently has signed a MoU with the United Kingdom to boost Urban Development across the country. The MoU will also focus on the Urban Regeneration, which is very much required considering the present scenario. The MoU was inked in London by Kamal Nath, who is the Union Minister of Urban Development and Dr. Vince Cable, who is the British Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.

Government Sanctions Rs 130 Crore to ITI



                                 
                  The Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) received a huge financial assistance of Rs 130 crore from the Government of India. ITI, which is a state run company, is suffering a huge loss for last few years. It has failed to pay salary to its employees, so the government is helping ITI to pay due salaries to its employees. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has sanctioned this financial assistance in the form of grants-in-aid to ITI. This aid will help the suffering company (ITI), which is facing a very hard time, to pay the salary to its employees for the next four months.

          The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), which is an important organization of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, is recently in big news for signing a MoU with the Sun Online Learning India Private Limited to promote the E-Learning Initiative. The Initiative has been developed by the Company for career boost and career planning.

Loans to buy Gold is now banned by RBI






                     A recent notification from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issued a complete ban on all the banks of India from granting any loans to its customers for buying gold in any form possible. This ban includes primary gold, gold bullion, gold jewellery, gold coins, units of gold Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) and units of gold mutual funds.

                      The Central Bank declared this after their October 30 Policy meet on Monday only. The banking regulator has given a sigh of relief to the various jewelers, as the banks of India are allowed to give loans for “genuine working capital requirements to jewelers”.

Five Indian Airports get status of International Airport






                         Five Indian airports complete their way to get the status of International Airport. The Union Cabinet recently approved granting of International Airport status to five airports, which are situated in Lucknow, Varanasi, Mangalore, Tiruchirapalli and Coimbatore. This is one of the important steps of modernized India.

                         All the above mentioned airports are well-capable of handling small to medium capacity-range, long-range type aircraft. Not only that these airports are also equipped with the facilities for night operations too.

India and Austria signed a MoU on Technology Cooperation recently



                       
                        India added a new MoU to its kitty recently.  This time India signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Austria. The MoU is on Technology Cooperation in the Shipping and Ports Infrastructure Sector, which is one of the sectors which need to be upgraded for obvious reason.

                         Doris Bures, who is the Austrian Federal Minister for Transport, Innovation and Technology, signed the MoU with G.K. Vasan, who is the Minister of Shipping, Government of India. It was signed in the capital of the Country, New Delhi. Both the Minister expressed their excitement about this mutual cooperation.

State Level Banker’s Committee recently held their 149th Meeting



                           The meeting of state level banker’s committee held in Bhopal on 17th November, 2012. That was the 149th meeting of State Level Banker’s Committee. The meeting was arranged by convenor bank, Central Bank of India which was co-chaired by R Parasuram, chief secretary to Government of Madhya Pradesh and MV Tanksale chairman & managing director, Central Bank of India. The deputy governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) KC Chakrabarty was especially grace the event by presenting in the meeting.

India and Egypt has signed a MoU for Poll Management cooperation

                            
                      India has signed a MoU along with the Arabian country Egypt recently. The MoU is aiming for cooperation in the field of electoral management and administration. To be precise this MoU will benefit both the countries to conduct their respective polls smoothly.

                   India’s Chief Election Commissioner V.S. Sampath and Secretary General of Egypt’s Election Committee Hatem Bagato signed the MoU on behalf of their respective countries. Both of them said that this is an essential one and it will be beneficial for both the countries.

58 Space Missions to be launched by ISRO during 12th plan






              Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is all set to launch a total number of 58 space missions in the next five years. These missions include sending spacecraft to moon and Mars, an exclusive satellite to keep a round-the-clock watch on all over the country and deploy a total number of five hundred transponders.

Foundation stone of Kochi Metro Railway Project laid




                 After a long wait, finally Kochi Metro Railway Project started its voyage. Recently the honorable Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh himself laid the foundation stone for the Kochi Metro Railway Project. The expected cost of this project is Rs 5,180 crore and it is to be completed in three years only. Mr. E. Sreedharan, who is a former administrative member of Delhi Metro, is the main key man behind this project. He is the live wire indeed.

Microsoft India is likely to stop sales of Windows 7


                       There may be a bad news for all the lovers of the windows 7 operating system, as Microsoft Corporation is planning to phase out windows 7 from the retail market in the next one month or so. The director of windows business group Mr Amrish Goyal has stated it on Tuesday.
